So life is dead boring right now… I’m trying to think of stuff I can do to make things more interesting… short and long term.

Stuff to do…
Get back in to reading. Gotta read the godfather sometime
Make mornings more interesting. Eat outside, or go to the gym first. Start off better…
Cull these late nights, they’re killing me during the day…
Find some quick way to gain some cash. Just not making enough money to be really free right now.

Mindset changes…
Move on from people who are just rude or who dont give a shit. No need to stick around with people who just annoy me
Spend more time on what interests me, less time on having to do stuff for everyone else
Be more open with life. Try new things. Be a bit less resistant to new things..

Later on…
Start saving for a holiday next year. Would love to see europe, or tour the states again, or the new hot find.. bora bora. So much I want to see… time to start saving

Things to do and changes to make. What does tomorrow hold..

Urgh. An unfortunate letter arrived in the mail the other day… centrelink wanting to renew one of my benefits, one which directly pays for the running costs of my car. In all likelihood I wont get it again, which means their payments to me will cut by just over half. Basically now my fuel will be covered, but etoll and services I’ll have to pay for out of my own pocket. I don’t want to have another shift a week at work. Urgh

Another day with no real work progress. Last night helped homy a bit with the script, today was meant for ninja to begin… but alas. Tomorrow it shall be then; no work on, full on day of work I reckon. Gotta get moving. Going to be a tough next two weeks, moving far enough with ninjaman while helping on filming. I have no idea how I’m going to make enough progress on ninjaman these holidays to hit my roadmap goals. Urgh

In the only positive news of this post, I got an acoustic guitar on loan, w00t. Now I’m looking for a tutor so I can take a decent crack at learning how to play it. If it works out, I’ll go get my own guitar later. Playing it with no idea of what you’re doing is fun for a bit, but really, I want to learn to play properly hah. Tab music (guitar style music) is quite different to regular music too (used to it from playing the sax for ages). Much to adapt to.

Anyhow. Urgh. Why dont I have any energy to get cracking with work…

Well its been a nice two weeks. After the road trip last weekend, was a day or two of chilling around here (with time off work), then Adz/Stefs combined bday which was great. Dinner at the hurricane, fantastic food, just.. so much of it! The theme was school… so I went with my year 12 jersey and a tie.. about as schooly as I could get. Julian really dressed up for it with his blazer, Jan had a whole russian school girl thing going on, and Stef had a really hot japanese-ish school girl thing happening. Anyhow Julian won best dressed, nice, hah. After dinner we went to karaoke which was hilarious for the first hour or so. No one was really singing so I made a fool of myself time and time again and… really enjoyed it all. Singing chinese lyrics is rather entertaining :P After that was over we went back to jasons place and chilled, no more drinks left so it was totally sober, but not too bad. Reasonably tame truth or dare kinda stuff, later diverging into deeper kinda questions. Did that till 5am, then it was time for bed… long night. So yeah, good times

The past couple of nights, well thats a different story. Work work work, fri sat sun, making the dosh. Not too bad, just a bit pissed about last night, somehow lost a $20, nfi how or where. Urgh. Anyhow, the weekend has been mad… addicted to the OC. Went through all of season 1 (27x 40min episodes), awesome stuff. Left me really craving season 2, so I read up on the first few episodes of it so I’m a bit more calm now about how things end up heh. Haven’t been addicted to a tv series like that since the sopranos. Summer holiday present to myself now is to watch all of season 1 and 2 of both the oc and the sopranos (again) :P How hot is mischa barton…. nice.

So now… its time to get cracking with uni work. 2 week holiday (just under) is now over. Sigh. Back to it… tho today is about tying up some loose ends, tomorrow the hardcore work begins once more. Expect to see the number of pissed off or depressed posts here to rise… heh. So much to do…

laters ;)

Yep that’s right, we ended up going ahead after all haha. 3 nights in port macquarie, 6 people with 2 cars, a shite load of alcohol, some huge apartment, and plenty of time to chill. Lots of fun.

We headed up on saturday, myself driving the first car load with Stef and Jason. Julian joined us later that night, with Jan and Stevo. All in all by midnight we were all there.

Saturday was spent talking in the car, shopping (for too much food? heh), shopping for alky, and chilling in the apartment talking. Sunday rolled around, bacon and eggs style breakfast, and off we went on a 2.5hr cruise of the area, checking out the island, beaches, river, wetlands etc… with much time spent dolphin watching. Great in a calming way. That night we ate in (thanks to our awesome cook stef!), and after dinner decided it would be a good idea to head off to some nightclub… that was closed… damn. So back to the room, much drinking, much music, lots of fun. Swapping between different types of alcohol can be… quite annoying, as was learned that night heh. Anyhow thatnight we moved all the mattresses out into our huge ass living room area (with 180 degree panoramic view of the river/ocean), opened the blinds, and went to bed with the idea that we’d wake up and see sun set. Well kinda missed that, but when we did wake up, the morning looked great lol.

So monday. Woke up again to bacon and eggs style breakfast. Loving it. The weather was looking a bit better today, so the rest of them headed down to the pool. I was suffering from total lack of sleep lately (kinda hits me after many consecutive days), and feeling like a cold was about to begin. After a while they came back up and we went off on an ocean drive scenic tour. Found a nice beach, enjoyed the 15mins or so of direct sun, and proceeded to…. bury jason alive in the sand, cast a mermaid, and take lots of funny photos of him lol. Good times. After that we both split off in different directions, Julian and their crew to get *cough* birthday supplies, and my crew to check out a birthday dinner location. After a pitstop back at the apartment, we went off to a great dinner, huge ass servings for $7.50, omg what gold value. The owner was a champ, used to live in surry hills, was rather interesting. After dinner we jetted back to the apartment and worked out what we’d do for the rest of the night (stefs bday the following day). Headed down to the beach, alky with us, and proceeded to just chill and talk under the moon light, just being there and enjoying it. Had a few celebrations at midnight, which is when the whole being together on a road trip thing really sunk in, it was just… plain fun to all be there (and blardy blardy cold, fark). Anyhow after that, a few drinks back home and off to bed for the trip the next day home

Tuesday… well we loaded up, paid up, and jetted off. Did a few scenic tours on the way back, a lighthouse, ‘dawsons creek’ as stef named it, then back on the highway. Stef and Jason slept most of the way in my car heh, but that was aiight, easy cruise back. Few stops later and a visit to a beached whale in hornsby and we were home :D Sad the road trip was over, but it was heaps of fun. I’d road trip again any time with you lot, awesome times :D Looking forward to another time later on hey.

And today, well, relaxing, watched memento and spent the rest of the day playing ps2 heh. Got another day or two off until the work starts, so enjoying the unwinding component of the hols :)

Just cant be bothered anymore… holidays are meant to be fun :/

No real day by day determination. I feel I just want to get away from it all, but try as I might, I’ve still got work…. some road trip to plan… the more I try and ‘get away from it all’ the more I actually have to do, in order to do that. Contradictions eh. Honestly cant be bothered organising a road trip right now. Not in the mood.

Need a change of mindset

Dance all night to this DJ…

Sem is finally over, with the finishing of dta and handing in that stupid essay. Joyous :D Went on a dvd hiring spree, should tide me over for the next few days hahaha. Hired colin mcrae 05… OMG $7.50 for one night offpeak (week nights), wtf is this world coming too. Blockbuster you tightarse fools. Last time I go to you. I’ve been contemplating signing up at a random blockbuster, hiring out a bunch of games, then…. never returning. What will happen… I’ll rack up a huge debt to them, but if I never go there again, I highly doubt they do anything other than prevent you from hiring at other stores of theirs. Well regard for blockbuster went down a few notches anyhow.

Had my knee strapped today at the physio. More comfortable than an ankle strapping, but still feels weird. Ah well. Glad I’m back to a semi-regular pattern with physio work, hopefully things should improve over the year. Seems definitely worthwhile considering what has basically been a 1.5 decade mission and a half to this point :P May as well see how much better I can get from here. Certainly nothing like the dark days of the mid 90s heh. Glad times change..

Hmmm. Another movie sounds tempting
So does getting really drunk sometime soon
So does organising a road trip
So does.. ok back to a movie hah

Enjoy the hols :D

Exciting times… not.

Uni ended last week (ok thats cool), however DTA didn’t. Through just a total state of being burnt out, I didnt get my essay done on time. And that’s been the weekends chore, aggravating as..

Friday night on the other hand was cool (just about the only cool aspect to post-thursday ‘uni is over w00t!’ life). Cofa end of session party, and the boys in the SA put on a good one. Plenty of free drinks, a great turn out, much fun. I drowned my boredom and dta-hatered out and towards the end of it, well, it was just fuckin good fun. IMO the flinders hotel is a lot nicer than the Palace (last years end of session party), even if we didn’t get allowed upstairs. Here’s hoping to an even bigger and better end of year party!

Well now that I’ve blogged at length about all the great aspects of this weekend (note: one thing), the boring reality of it hits me once more as I must go and drive a stake through the heart of this damn essay. Looking forward to when its done.. got a lot of stuff I want to do to relax after it. Coolay.

Oh yeah, and this road trip next week is looking dubious. We’re running on the lower end of ‘worthwhile’ in terms of numbers right now, it’ll be fun, but we need some of the maybes to become yes’s. I hope it still goes ahead, it’d be depressing if it didn’t. The alternative is I might cruise on out to the country for a while. Been a while since I’ve been up to the ole Relo’s farm. Maybe I’ll even do that before uni goes back… I don’t want to start sem2 already being over uni.. hmm

And now back to pain. Woot :/

Was mums bday today, went and saw the lion king with here down at the capitol theatre. Very cool! Havent been to a stage production like that in years, so it felt very new to me heh. The costumes were great, but for me it was the lighting that was so fantastic, and really brought the set alive. All in all extremely highly recommended, its only in Sydney for a few more weeks so go go go! hehe.

Professional practice has consumed a fair portion of the weekend too… what a pain in the ass that project was! So glad its all over :D Printed it today, hand in tmr and its all good. Shit subject really. On the upside, writing a press release and doing a budget were useful. Shame the other 90% of it was pretty crappy ;)

What else has been up. Hmmm. Car buying has risen to the surface lately. This was all spurred on by a chat with friends down the street, who were saying their next door neighbours car was now for sale. I casually said yeah its a nice car, I don’t think I’d have the money for it, but if I did I’d be interested. Turns out that went a little further than I thought… had another chat tonight, and it seems that if their car doesnt sell privately in the next two weeks they may ask if I want to buy it for a few grand less (!). So.. what is it? A 96 Honda Integra, manual, electric everything, only 84,000 on the clock, sunroof, dark metallic blue (looks nice), great shape, well serviced. Turns out the price they’d sell it to me for… would end up with me making a few grand profit. Interesting hmmm. Downsides? well first its 6 years older than my car, its no longer under warranty, its going to have a higher chance of needing parts, it lacks modern safety designs/systems (abs, airbags etc). Upsides? it looks hot, and it fits my ‘next car’ criteria (coupe). Misc? its a manual, which is good and bad – going to be a pain with work, but great fun general driving heh.

The later advice I got was dont go for it, and I probably wont, but its started my mind thinking about it all. Really I’d rather a 2002 integra (when they moved to the newer design), but they are priced way out of my reach.

So its back to the ‘in 2 years and with another 10-12k, what can I get’ line of thought, heh..
