wooo! Interesting developments on the work front. Looks like I might get involved in an online games start up, headed by a couple of highly industry experienced folks. Selling out on the team phoenix brand, or taking a risk and potentially having some fun with it? Right now I figure it might be more worthwhile than regular 9-5 full time, more of a rare opportunity. As John Colette would say, live your 20s, no mortgage yet!

Got a dvd sent over from G4TV, the tv station in the states that aired our ninjaman trailer on their cinematech show - awesome stuff! Even got an email from someone I’ve talked to previously about online game stuff, saying wow I saw your game on G4TV - great! haha

For now ninjaman is being hosted at cofa (my uni of 02-05), and is killing the forum there… teehee. It’ll be addressed soon, but w00t to the free bandwidth and fast speeds here down under.

Out for drinks tonight with the north shore crew + westie johnny, was some fun, considering a) it was a 10min walk from my place (for once!) and b) no driving required for me, coolio. Good to catch up with people - gem jess ‘n ryan got back from their trip recently (ryan yesterday!), so great to see them all again over drinks!

So, stuff is happening!

Saw 50 cent last friday out at the superdome, that was pretty awesome. Sure it felt like I was sitting in the paramatta under 16s area, and morgan, a few rows away was in the 20s white suburbia, but we had a great time. It all went off when in da club came on. Somewhat highlights that its the older stuff that is more popular. Olivia, lloyd banks and young buck were all there, representing 4/5 of the whole crew, so it was pretty intact. Fun times!

As I have alluded to in previous posts - we were investigating a licensing deal for Ninjaman. Not sure if I can jump into specifics, but its all done, signed, files handed over, and pay received We had a bit of work to do on it, rebranded graphics etc, but it was a nice commercial spin on a ‘free love’ project. I’ll post a link to it here as soon as it goes live, somewhere ‘out there’…

So now that means I have some cash. Think I’ll go buy a core duo mac this week, leaning towards a 20″ iMac with a few specs upped, over the powerbooks [I refuse to call them ‘macbookpros’]. With uni over, portability isnt such a big deal for me anymore. Sure, there will be times it’ll annoy me not having it - can’t hook it up to teh sexy digital tv, or take it round for file swapping, or the much theorised-but-never-happened out to cafes for wifi access, urgh. The desktop is cheaper, quicker (disk access), has a larger disk, doesn’t make the keyboard warm when its crunching away, and provides a nice big phat primary display (17″ secondary). Sounds good!

Had a job interview yesterday. Well, more like a ‘hey I wouldn’t mind working for you, I’m not applying for anything in particular, but hi’. It went pretty well; the upshot was no full time position available right now, but maybe in 2-3 weeks. Plenty of feel good ‘we’d love for you to work here’ but the bottom line is not right now, make of it what you will. Not too disappointed, we’ll revisit that note in a few weeks.

I’m really not that worried about things on the job front like some here and there seem to be. I figure things keep happening, we’ll see how it goes. I’ve turned one offer down, I pissed one away by taking summer off it seems (not going to give up yet!), but little things happen here and there. The rest of the week may hold a couple of promising developments… pimping the networking (it so seriously seems to come down to that).

Seeing jarhead tonight, hope its decent. I try and see most of the military orientated films that hit cinemas, sometimes its not worth it, sometimes it is (wish I saw stealth on the big screen - [me and planes..])

Drinks tmr night, ninja celebrations or something or other Kinda lost track how many plays we’re at now - somewhere between 3.5 and 4.5 million? ‘enough’ really! And with the licensing deal done, its all ‘done’ in myy eyes.. time to rest easy.

Jasons bdayy the other night - had a ‘unique’ evening at his place haha. He hadn’t planned anything, we brought over pizza (red centre, still loving it) and chilled around there. Entertaining times lol.

Time is definitely going by. Not really doing much lately - I’m in the ‘waiting to hear back about work’ phase, I keep telling myself. Previously, I was occupied all day with ninja PR (4 million plays! w00t!) and ninja licensing (more on that at a later time..), but most of that is all sorted now - which leaves me with massive amounts of free time. Problem is, that kinda gets boring. In these last two weeks, I’ve watched seasons 1 and 2 of 24, season 2 of sopranos (a repeat though - loved it), and more OC. There is only so much time you can spend watching tv series and playing ps2 until you ask yourself..

What now.

Million dollar question Maybe I need to get in and make something. We’ll see. Till then, I expect boredom.

So enough of the boring news. The good stuff! Got tickets to 50 cent for friday, gunna be rockin. RRP $99, we got them for about $50 each on ebay after they were sold out. Should be some fun - just glad I wasn’t paying >$150 per ticket like you see on ebay now.. ack..

I’m playing more guitar, I’m slowly changing from ‘he must die painfully!’ to ‘kill him now!’. Keep up the good work!
