Yay! First print-based pimping of Ninjaman! Picked up a bunch of copies today at Cofa. Not a bad write up! Cofa marketing told us they wanted to do a feature on us/ninjaman, and gave us a few questions to answer. From that they picked a bunch of quotes, likewise from Andy Polaine our supervising lecturer.. and spun it to promote cofa ;)
Yay for ninjaman! We never really expected it to break a million plays (it was always the golden number however), and now at 20 million I look back and go… cool! No regrets on the project and a year of slavery. Sure there are a few things I’d change, but that’s not important. So Jase and Johnny, good work team phoenix… and may the bird rise once more for future projects :D
I’m considering writing a ’story of the ninja’ later… from my perspective of things last year. Johnny said he would contribute too. Kind of a documentation effort of the year. All those geeky and not so geeky things I need to let out ;)

Blardy. Last 3 days I’ve done so little work on my own. Today was hardcore working on prof prac all afternoon, but other than that…. couple of beers and a movie (the longest yard, wasn’t too bad, appealed to the entertaining violence gene I guess). I’m probably a few hours off finishing pro prac, but I didn’t do it tonight. Blardy. And the ninjaman enemy AI is starting to worry me - I can’t even decide how its all going to work in theory….. which I have to decide way before actually starting to code it :/

Its really tough as well because this is one of those Big Steps, where if we get it wrong we have to come back right here a month from now.. really need to figure this biatch out. Already accepted that enemies wont be able to jump platforms to come up and hunt you, but they need to be able to navigate basic jumps, obstacles, stuff that is ‘bad’/hurts etc.. plus they need to have a chance of blocking when you attack, have a sense for who else is on screen/backup, jump back after attacks so as not to sit there idle and open… much to consider

Anyhow, thats tmrs plans at the moment. joyyy. Once our final ninjaman presentation this semester is done… I can’t wait… the need for alcohol rises with each day :P
Oh and when ninjaman is finished, there is going to be a release party. Heaps of alcohol, many good times… gold jerry ;)
